Am I a Candidate?

Ideal candidates for Dermo-Myofascial Release® (DMR) qualify for treatment by meeting general requisites for pain and function. By ensuring you meet these predictive attributes, there is an 80% greater likelihood for your treatment success using our comprehensive, integrated physical therapy approach.

Functional Attributes

For successful results, our candidates should meet one or more of the following attributes for function:

  • Limitations on range of motion
  • Pain
  • Chronic stiffness or tightness
  • Weakness
  • Scars
  • Post-radiation treatment

We have found our approach works well for all age groups from the very young to older individuals. The versatility of this technique enables our therapists to treat any part of your body including your fingers and toes, limbs, trunk, head and neck.

Previous (Unsuccessful) Therapy

Surveys that we have done have shown us that more than 65% of our patients have experienced less than optimal results with previous physical therapy or modalities. We estimate approximately 75% of these patients who have not responded to other forms of treatment will realize over a 40% improvement with our approach.

Am I a poor candidate?

There are a few conditions that would result in poor outcomes. Severe nerve damage does not respond well to the treatment. In addition, during the acute phase of the injury (1 5 days) following the injury, DMR is not effective.
