Finding a Passion

When Craig started off her undergraduate diploma in NC State’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences, she assumed she needed to be a teacher, so she researched English training. She later on changed her brain and earned an English diploma rather. Following a passion for conversation, she went on to generate one more bachelor’s degree in mass conversation and media scientific tests from North Carolina Central College and a master’s diploma in education with the goal of working in larger schooling.

“I like social media, so I’d like to continue on sharing much more of motherhood and my lifetime exterior of work on my social media webpages to folks who might uncover it handy, especially for Black mothers. I want to be a assist due to the fact I did not have a massive assist program.”

Craig is also passionate about celebrating her race and teaching other individuals about the contributions of Black persons, particularly all through Black History Month.

As a Black alumna and staff member, Craig has advice for Black pupils at NC State.

“Don’t get shed in your education. I know that is what you’re listed here for, but you really should also make connections with those that glimpse like you on campus and advocate for difficulties you’re passionate about and challenges that exclusively issue to Black people.
