The Delhi federal government has carried out 77 key infrastructure assignments of the schooling, health and fitness and the public works departments in the final five yrs, Deputy Main Minister Manish Sisodia reported on Wednesday.


Reviewing the initiatives with senior officers of PWD and the other departments concerned, Sisodia reported town infrastructure, wellbeing and education have been the top most priorities of the Delhi authorities.

The jobs incorporate the construction of about 20,000 classrooms, new sports complexes, hostels for learners, hospitals with condition-of-the-art services, 6 new and two double-decker flyovers, two new college campuses, installation of far more than two lakh CCTV cameras, road beautification, installation of 500 flags and the Signature Bridge in Wazirabad.

In the wellbeing sector, the Delhi Govt authorized 25 major projects at a charge of Rs 4,452.72 crores which features the design of different new hospitals and Intense Care Units. Highway infrastructure has been presented a boost with 26 tasks really worth Rs 6,409.33 crores, he claimed.


In PWD, the Delhi Authorities has accredited 26 main assignments at the price of Rs 6,409.33 crores which involve streetscaping jobs in pilot section, design of double-decker flyovers amongst Bhajanpura-Yamuna vihar and Azadpur-Rani Jhansi Street.


It also involves flyovers at Shastri Park, Asharam to DND flyway, ANVT to Apsara Border, at Nagari and Gagan Cinema Junction and elevated corridor at Loni Chowk.


Aside from these, there are many corridor advancement initiatives including the Ashram Chowk underpass and numerous other underpasses across the town, many bridges, subways, set up of approximately two lakh CCTV cameras, free Wi-Fi and set up of 500 tricolours throughout the town, he stated.
